Derby fans slam Bogle after defeat to fierce rivals Nottingham Forest

Jayden Bogle has enjoyed something of a breakthrough season for Derby County this campaign and is now finding out what it takes to be a professional for a side with the ambitions that the Rams have.

That means that there is no room for passengers, especially at the business end of the season and that was absolutely the case as Derby travelled to face their bitterest rivals Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last night.

Derby lost 1-0 thanks to a second minute goal from Yohan Benalouane and Forest are now just a point and a place behind Lampard’s men in the race for the play-offs.

And Bogle did not cover himself in glory for the incident that turned the match and that’s a tough learning curve for a defender who is still a teenager and needing to improve.

Bogle should have a bright future in the game as one of a host of young English players making their name at present but at this moment in time, some Derby fans feel that he is not up to the demands of a promotion push at this stage.

There was no real sympathy for the defender despite his age and he now needs to show these supporters that he can be the reliable right-back Lampard needs as they seek to recovery from a loss to their fierce rivals…
