Midfielder Bradley Johnson has completed a move to Blackburn Rovers from Derby County, as confirmed by the club’s official website.
The experienced midfielder has signed a two-year deal at Ewood Park and becomes Rovers’ third signing of the summer.
Johnson said: “Being wanted and the ambition of the club was a huge factor in me coming here. It’s a club on the up, so it was a pretty easy decision. I spoke to Mark Venus, who told me how much the manager wanted me. It’s good to feel wanted.
“The club made it clear that they wanted me, so I wanted to sign straight away. The size of the training ground is impressive. It’s a great place and I felt welcomed as soon as I walked through the doors. I feel the desire and the ambition here.”

Plenty of Derby fans took to Twitter to give their reaction to Johnson’s departure. Some can’t really understand why the club have let him go – before new manager Phillip Cocu has even had a chance to see him train.
Others just wish him luck for the future, with the consensus that he’s a good honest pro, who always gave his best for the club despite the pressure of moving down into the second tier from the Premier League.
Blackburn look to have got themselves a decent player and we’ve got some Derby reaction…
