Derby had the opportunity to seal their spot in the Championship play-offs when they travelled to face Swansea at the Liberty Stadium last night.
Three points would have secured sixth place for the Rams, against a home side who can no longer finish in the top six, and it looked good when Richard Keogh put them 1-0 up in the first half.
But Wayne Routledge’s goal earned the hosts a share of the spoils and meant that the race will go down to the final day of the season, with Middlesbrough and Bristol City lurking with interest.
If Derby beat West Brom on Sunday, they’re in, but failure to do so would leave the door open for the chasing pack, with Boro best placed and at home to already relegated Rotherham.
