Dedryck Boyata has posted a farewell message to Celtic fans on Instagram.
The Belgian defender is officially leaving Parkhead to join Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin on a free transfer.
The former Manchester City man brings to an end a four-year stint at the club after signing for around £1.5 million.
He has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell, winning 10 honours.
His reputation became somewhat tainted in his final year with the club, with allegations of downing tools being flung around at the start of the 2018/19 campaign.
Taking to Instagram, Boyata said: “It has been an honor to wear this jersey and help the club win titles.
“There were some difficult moments but I will remember above all, the fervor, the passion and the desire to win more and more trophies.
“10 trophies won in 4 years with the club I leave with an historic #TrebleTreble that will remain one of my greatest pride.”
While some weren’t so moved by his words, plenty received the 28-year-old’s sentiments warmly.
There were hundreds of comments for the defender, including some from his teammates.
Craig Gordon wrote: “Well done Deddo. You will be missed. Loved playing alongside you. Good luck in Berlin.”, while winger Scott Sinclair showed support by way of four raised hands’ emojis.
