Dennis Adeniran has taken to Instagram to confirm that he has left Everton after his Toffees contract had expired, posting a heartfelt message to the club’s supporters – and some of his Everton teammates have responded.
Just days after Callum Connolly – who had been on loan at Fleetwood during 2020-21 – confirmed that he would be leaving Everton after 14 years on the books at the club, Adeniran has followed suit by announcing his exit.
Adeniran, 22, only joined Everton from Fulham in 2017 and while he appeared on the bench for the senior side – he failed to make his first-team debut. Instead, he played 56 times for the Under-23 side, scoring three goals.
Taking to Instagram, the three-time England Under-19 international sent a touching message to the club, the staff at Everton and the supporters. He was a crucial part of the side that won Premier League 2 in 2018-19.

The midfielder has spent the last season on loan at Championship side Wycombe Wanderers, clocking up 22 appearances for the second-tier club. He had played five times for Fulham’s senior side before his move to Everton.
Anthony Gordon, another regular in the reserves alongside Adeniran before going to Preston on loan, responded – as did Josh Bowler. Both stated it had been “a pleasure” and that they will “miss” the midfielder.
