Tottenham supporters are not sold on reported changes incoming head coach Paulo Fonseca will make to the first-team coaching staff.

According to Football London, the Portuguese manager will work alongside Fabio Paratici to recruit new coaches to add to the club’s backroom staff. The likes of Ledley King and Ryan Mason will remain and will continue to work for the north London team.

As per the report, defensive coaching is a key trait Fonseca and Paratici are looking for when hiring new coaches. Tottenham conceded 45 goals in the Premier League last season, keeping just 12 clean sheets.

A new centre-back is also likely to be a priority for the club in the transfer market. And although improving on the defence will make Tottenham a better team, some supporters on social media aren’t too excited about this update.

A few fans are still critical of Daniel Levy over his inability to recruit Antonio Conte. BBC Sport report that talks between the two parties broke down.

Some Tottenham supporters also believe Fonseca might be a poor appointment based on his record with AS Roma, his most recent job.
