Matt Jarvis singled out Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-Min Son for praise after producing a ‘delightful’ pass against Bournemouth today.

Tottenham took an early lead in the game after a brilliant finish from Pape Matar Sarr. The Senegal international beat Neto with a superb drilled effort into the bottom corner after the Bournemouth goalkeeper’s loose pass was pounced on by Rodrigo Bentancur

It’s fair to say that Spurs rode their luck for large periods of the first half, with their performance level dropping off after Sarr came off injured.

The Cherries failed to make the most of their opportunities while Guglielmo Vicario made a couple of decent saves. But Spurs had a huge opportunity to double their advantage against the run of play early in the second half.

Heung-Min Son picked out Richarlison with an inch-perfect through ball but the Brazilian dragged his effort wide of the post.

And Matt Jarvis was full of praise for Son while covering the game on BBC Radio 5 Live

Jarvis amazed by Son’s passing

Jarvis singled out Son for praise after creating a clear-cut chance for Richarlison.

“It deserved to be a goal, fantastic play, end to end,” he said. “A delightful cross ball from Son and Richarlison has more time than he thinks.”

Son was eventually rewarded for a tireless display as he netted Tottenham’s second of the game in the 71st minute.

The £22 million man finished expertly on his weaker foot after being played through on goal by Giovani Lo Celso.

Tottenham grabbed their third through Richarlison after some excellent work from Brennan Johnson down the right-hand side.

Alex Scott produced a tidy finish to make things uncomfortable for Spurs in the final stages of the game.

Bournemouth will probably feel they deserved more on the day but were made to rue their missed chances by a clinical Tottenham side.
