Tottenham fans are left anxiously waiting to see how they cope without talisman Harry Kane for the next couple of months, as the centre-forward has been ruled out of action until March with an injury.
He is the best player in the Spurs squad and losing their goal machine threatens to derail their hunt for silverware, but also their pursuit of a top-four finish in the Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are yet to sign a new striker in January to replace him and Heung-Min Son is also away on international duty with South Korea at the Asian Cup to leave concerns of where the goals are going to come from.
But in the shape of Dele Alli they have got someone who has proven he can help fill in when their main man is absent.

There has been 17 fixtures in the last two and a half years that Alli has started in when Kane has not been involved at all.
The England International has scored seven goals and supplied three assists in that time, while also discovering some top form to inspire the team.
Alli is a versatile midfielder that has gone from strength to strength under Pochettino and has really matured his game.
The 22-year-old has the attacking qualities to make a difference in the final third and it would be no surprise to see him push further forward during Kane’s spell out.
He has dropped into deeper midfield roles at times this season, but fans can expect him in more threatening positions to help provide support for fringe striker Fernando Llorente.
