Mo Salah’s shot was deflected into the back of the net for Liverpool’s first goal on Tuesday night – and Dejan Lovren has reacted on Instagram.

Liverpool secured a brilliant result at the Wanda Metropolitano to beat Diego Simeone’s side 3-2, in a topsy-turvy clash that had a bit of everything.

The Reds went 2-0 up inside the first 15, Salah’s shot ricocheted into the net- initially believed to be off Milner. Then, Naby Keita volleyed in a second.

But Keita was then at fault for both Liverpool goals. He allowed Thomas Lemar to go past him, before Antoine Griezmann scored the first of two.

Then, Griezmann got a second – played in by Joao Felix, finishing superbly to go into the break at 2-2. But then Griezmann was shown a red card.

A high foot from Griezmann caught Roberto Firmino in the face. A rush of blood from Griezmann, as was Mario Hermoso’s foul on Diogo Jota.

It gave Salah the chance to score from the spot, which would eventually prove to be his second of the night – which he did, with aplomb.

What has Lovren said on Instagram – Salah or Milner for Liverpool?

The drama was not over with Simeone choosing not to shake Jurgen Klopp’s hand. Initially, Liverpool posted on Instagram, saying Milner had scored.

Eventually, the goal was awarded to Salah – taking his tally to 12 goals and four assists in just 11 games. An incredible record for a player at his peak.

Lovren responded to Liverpool claiming Milner had got a toe on Salah’s shot – posting a hilarious eight-word comment on Instagram.
