Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski has described Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou as “amazing in every way”.

The Tottenham player was speaking on Amazon Prime Video Sport ahead of Spurs’ last Premier League match.

Kulusevski also said Postecoglou not only provides coaching about football as per his job, but also about how best to live your life.

Tottenham appointed the 58-year-old in the summer and he hasn’t taken long to transform Spurs into a much better team.

In the opening three months of the season, Tottenham were flying high and sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table.

Since then, things have taken a turn for the worse due to injuries, suspensions and fatigue.

However, the foundations have certainly been laid for Spurs to build in the next year or two.

Kulusevski is really enjoying life at Tottenham under Postecoglou.

“He’s amazing in every kind of way,” he said. “He doesn’t speak a lot. He only speaks about two times a week.

“(Wednesday) we had a meeting about the game in Manchester and it was amazing. The videos he showed us, you really learn something, bits you don’t think about.

“He’s a very intelligent man and you not only learn about football but mentality and how to live your life.”

Ange Postecoglou needs time at Tottenham

While Tottenham may have had a downturn in form, the injuries and suspensions Spurs have had to deal with would’ve derailed pretty much any team bar perhaps Manchester City.

For several games, three quarters of Tottenham’s first-choice defence was missing, and the absence of the talismanic James Maddison has obviously been very costly.

And even if Spurs were lucky and their players remained fit throughout, things like suspension and fatigue would’ve forced them to resort to their fringe players, cue a drop-off in quality.

Postecoglou’s Tottenham are still at the beginning of their journey, and as we’ve seen from the other team in North London, it can even take a few seasons to build a world-class squad and clear the deadwood.

It should go without saying, but Rome wasn’t built in a day, and there will be bumps along the way. Postecoglou needs time at Tottenham as he has what it takes to transform Spurs fully.
