Jermaine Jenas named Tottenham Hotspur’s best attacker against Eintracht Frankfurt last night, telling BT Sport that he thought Harry Kane played ‘really well’.
Spurs will be disappointed to have only come away with a point in their Champions League group stage game in Germany.
Antonio Conte’s men put in a much improved display from what they offered up in their 3-1 loss at the Emirates on Saturday. But Kane, Heung-Min Son and Richarlison just couldn’t manage to find a way through the Frankfurt defence.
Tottenham created some brilliant openings on the night but were lacking real quality in their final ball. They were unlucky in certain moments, with Ivan Perisic and Kane going close in the first-half.
Jenas has claimed that Kane was Conte’s best attacking player on the night and praised the 29-year-old for his link-up play.

Jenas names Kane as Tottenham’s best attacker
Jenas told BT Sport that Kane’s hold up play was back to its best in Germany last night.
“I actually thought Harry Kane played really well tonight,” he said.
“His hold up play was back to where it belongs. Of the front three he was the most impressive, definitely.”
Kane was once again the focal point for Spurs’ attacks last night and put in a classy display.
The England captain held the ball up well, bringing his teammates into the game and building attacks. The only thing he was lacking was a much-needed goal.

Kane came close to opening the scoring in the first-half as Son fizzed a ball across the Frankfurt box. But he couldn’t quite get on the end of it as another opening went begging for Spurs.
The striker did manage to get on the end of a Perisic cross in the 50th minute but was denied by a brilliant piece of defending.
Spurs will feel it was a wasted opportunity by not picking up all three points last night but can certainly take positives from the game. Kane looked back to his best and Conte’s side played at a much higher intensity than they have in most games this season.
