Declan Rice thanks Bukayo Saka after Arsenal beat Sheffield United
Arsenal looked incredible from the very first minute of the game.
The pressure was on Mikel Arteta’s side after both Liverpool and Manchester City won their games over the weekend, but the Gunners stepped up.
Martin Odegaard opened the scoring in the fifth minute before Jayden Bogle put the ball in the back of his own net eight minutes later. Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz made it 4-0 before 25 minutes.
Then, Declan Rice got in on the act after some fantastic work by Bukayo Saka on the right wing. It was a lovely finish to push Arsenal 5-0 up in the 39th minute.
Saka took to Instagram to celebrate the win after the game last night. Rice, who was delighted to get on the score sheet, thanked his young compatriot for the assist.
“Thanks for the assist brother,” Rice wrote under Saka’s Instagram post.

Declan Rice hits 10 goals + assists for Arsenal
When Arsenal spent an absolute fortune on Declan Rice in the summer, some people questioned the price tag because he wasn’t someone who’d score goals or provide assists on a regular basis.
Rice seems to have taken that as a challenge and is silencing the doubters.
The Englishman has now scored five goals and provided five assists for Arsenal in the Premier League. That number is almost certain to go up in the coming weeks and months as he’s on set pieces now as well.
Rice is having a sensational campaign, and it would be hard to dispute that he has been the signing of the season.
