Declan Rice has claimed that he’s so lucky to play with two Arsenal players.

The England midfielder joined the Gunners from West Ham United for a club-record fee before the start of this Premier League season.

Rice had rubbed shoulders with a few top-quality players for club and country, but it’s clear that his move to Arsenal is a huge step up compared to where he was before.

Speaking about two players at Arsenal, Rice hailed them as ‘world-class’ and admitted that he is ‘lucky’ to play along with them every week.

Declan Rice says two Arsenal players are truly ‘world-class’

Arsenal have one of the best teams in Europe right now.

The Gunners are currently on top of the Premier League table and are also through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where they will face Bayern Munich.

Arsenal would’ve dreaded that fixture a decade ago, but they will now surely back themselves to get the job done thanks to the amazing squad Mikel Arteta has built.

Declan Rice is one of Arsenal’s best players, but he seems to be in awe of two others he has been sharing the pitch with recently – Martin Odegaard and Jorginho.

In an episode of Colney Carpool, Frimpong asked Rice: “What’s it like partnering with people like Jorginho and Odegaard in midfield?”

The Arsenal number 41 replied: “It’s so good bro! These players are like just world-class players.

“I’ve played with so many world-class players in my career so far. Obviously now, I’m lucky enough I’m getting to play with more and I want to keep building my relationship with them and yeah, just keep enjoying my football with them.”

Mikel Arteta has a big dilemma ahead of Manchester City vs Arsenal

Arsenal take on Manchester City next in the Premier League in what could be the game that decides who wins the title this season.

Mikel Arteta will be keen to field his strongest eleven against the champions, but he will have a bit of a dilemma while he decides on his midfield.

Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard are guaranteed starters – there’s no debate there. Jorginho has started each of the Gunners’ last three games in the Premier League and he has been excellent.

Based on that, the Italian deserves to start, but Arsenal have Thomas Partey fit and available now, and he has looked really sharp in the training footage the Gunners have released.

On paper, Partey would be the much better choice alongside Rice, but whether Mikel Arteta will give him the nod ahead of Jorginho remains to be seen.
