Arsenal star Declan Rice knows a great player when he sees one.
The Englishman, who joined the Gunners for a club-record fee last summer, is one of the best midfielders in the world. He has arguably been the signing of the season so far.
All eyes are on Rice ahead of England’s game against Belgium on Tuesday, but the Arsenal number 41 had to answer quite a few questions about one of his teammates in his press conference.
Rice showered him with praise and hailed his versatility.

Declan Rice says Arsenal teammate can play ‘anywhere’
Arsenal are among the best teams in Europe right now, and one of their biggest strengths is how versatile many of their players are.
Declan Rice himself can play as a defensive midfield, a number eight and even at centre-back if needed.
The likes of Jurrien Timber, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz are all hugely versatile as well, and that makes Arsenal such an unpredictable side to face.
One other player who can play in multiple positions is Ben White. The 25-year-old has been in the news for all the wrong reasons recently, but the people who are close to him know just how incredible he is.
Rice spends a lot of time with White, and he has now heaped praise on him.
Speaking about White’s decision to make himself unavailable for the England squad, Rice said, as per The Mirror: “Obviously, Ben, if you know him as a person and as a player like I do, he’s such a good guy. He’s such a good guy and he’s an unbelievable footballer.”
Rice then claimed that he really hopes White will change his mind about England because he has the quality that could help the Three Lions.
“The good thing about him as well, he can play as a centre-back, he can play at right-back, he can come inside and play like a second midfielder, which has been doing a bit at Arsenal lately, he’s got the quality to play anywhere,” Rice said.
“When you have a player like that in a squad who can be used in different positions, it’s really key. So hopefully, he changes his mind. But if he’s happy doing that, then you know, that’s Ben’s decision. We can’t argue with that and hopefully, like I said, he changes his mind.”

Ben White’s biggest strength could help England win the Euros
England are among the favourites to win the Euros this summer.
Gareth Southgate has all the quality he would want available at his disposal, and if he can get the best out of everyone, England could go all the way.
Ben White is nowhere near the first choice, but we think he should be. He has arguably been the best right-back in the Premier League this season, and the fact that he can play in multiple roles even when he starts as a full-back will make England much more dangerous.
The Three Lions must find a way to make use of White’s biggest strength – his incredible versatility. He has been making a huge difference for Arsenal, and there’s no reason why he can’t do the same in an England shirt.
