Declan Rice raves about Grady Diangana, West Ham supporters laud ‘serious talent’

The Hammers winger was in fine form during yesterday’s pre-season friendly win.

West Ham United enjoyed success in two friendlies yesterday, with two different teams playing in two contests at the same time.

One group of players were 4-1 victors over League One outfit Ipswich Town, with another running out 5-1 winners over Championship newcomers Wycombe Wanderers.

It was perhaps the game at Portman Road which really caught the eye, with Grady Diangana, in particular, looking extremely lively.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at West Brom, helping the Baggies back into the Premier League.

He scored eight goals and registered seven assists as Slaven Bilic’s team finished second behind Leeds United in the Championship.

West Ham fans were left purring with his display in yesterday’s friendly with many hoping that he is given a proper crack of the whip next season.

Academy graduate Diangana set up Sebastian Haller’s first two goals of his hat-trick and his creative spark really shone through.

West Ham were largely disappointing last season and David Moyes will certainly hope to see an improvement during 2020/21.

One man who clearly fancies Diangana to do a job at the London Stadium is Declan Rice.

The Hammers midfield hero replied to the starlet’s Instagram after the game, stating that the Premier League isn’t ready for Diangana to be unleashed.

Supporters were seriously impressed with the winger too and they took to Twitter to rave about the player.

Here is a selection of Tweets from the Hammers faithful.
