Declan Rice was amongst those to post a reply to Jack Wilshere on Instagram after the midfielder confirmed his return to Arsenal to train with their academy.
Wilshere has returned to London Colney. Right now, it would appear that there is little chance of the midfielder signing any sort of playing contract with the Gunners.

It comes with the 29-year-old seemingly keeping his options open. He is a free agent after a short spell with Bournemouth earlier this year.
Mikel Arteta confirmed to the club’s official website that Wilshere is looking to do his coaching badges. So it would seem that a return to the Emirates pitch may be unlikely at this stage.

Nevertheless, Wilshere is clearly delighted to be back in familiar surroundings.
He sent out an emotional post on Instagram. And amongst those to send a message of encouragement was former West Ham teammate Rice…

Wilshere too good to be done as a player as he makes Arsenal return
Admittedly, it seems hard to see Wilshere playing for Arsenal again. Unfortunately, his career has been blighted by injury.
It would be incredible if he did play for the Gunners in the future. It may be that he feels that he is done as a player.
But as things stand, it would be a huge shame if Wilshere did not get the chance to launch his playing career somewhere once again.
He is an amazingly talented midfielder who had the potential to be one of the country’s best players of this era.
The least he deserves is to hang up his boots on his own terms.
