Declan Rice has now shared what Mikel Arteta told Arsenal’s players right before the win over Sevilla last night.

Speaking to TNT Sports after last night’s 2-0 win, Rice claimed that Arteta made it clear Arsenal must get back to winning ways.

The Gunners had suffered back-to-back defeats last week after crashing out of the League Cup before losing 1-0 at St James’ Park.

But Arsenal looked back to their best last night as they completely dominated against Sevilla.

Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka bagged the all-important goals but Arteta’s men could have had plenty more on the night.

Now, Declan Rice has shared what Arteta told his Arsenal squad right before the game after a couple of disappointing results last week.

“We said that,” Rice said. “After the upset at the cup and the weekend, a club like Arsenal can’t be losing three games in a row.

“The manager made that clear before the game. He said we need to get back to winning ways and put in a high energetic performance.

“Sometimes when you play against a back five it’s hard to break down but we kept the system and came through.”

It’s no secret that Arsenal are yet to hit top gear this season but they have largely managed to grind out positive results.

The Gunners came flying out the blocks last season but were unable to maintain their brilliant form down the final stretch.

Arteta will be hoping their performances pick up as the season goes in this time around as they bid to win the Premier League title.

Arsenal are going strong in the Champions League though and sit four points clear the the top of Group B with just two games left to play.
