Arsenal star Bukayo Saka shared his delight on Instagram last night after his man of the match performance for England, which prompted a response from international teammate Declan Rice.

Gareth Southgate’s side beat Czech Republic 1-0 on Tuesday night. Raheem Sterling netted his second goal of this summer’s major international tournament to clinch victory.

Saka helped England qualify from their Euro 2020 group as table toppers with a memorable display. Therefore, they will stay at Wembley Stadium for the Round of 16 tie next week.

The 19-year-old attacking injected the kind of direct style missing from the England forward line in the opening two games, so surely he’s now got a great chance of playing in the knockout rounds.

He started as a right-winger due to the fact he can cut is dangerously onto his left.

The speedster was involved in the build-up to the winning goal, but on top of that his all-round game was impressive.

West Ham and England 22-year-old midfielder Rice offered a kind response to Saka’s post-match Instagram message.

“You deserve everything brother,” he wrote.

England have a gem in Bukayo Saka, but Arsenal already knew

Saka isn’t yet one of the superstar names of the England attack like some of his teammates, but that will be changing if last night is anything to go by.

Firstly, he showed up yesterday in a major tournament for England. It’s not something everyone can do. Secondly, he’s got the bravery and character to want the ball in tight areas. Finally, he’s been dealing with the weight of Arsenal’s troubles all season, so he’s clearly a super talent.
