Declan Rice delivers six-word verdict as West Ham see off Leeds
Declan Rice was once again instrumental for West Ham as they ran out 2-1 winners at Leeds United today thanks to a late Michail Antonio winner.
The England midfielder is going from strength to strength under the stewardship of David Moyes and he played a key role in the winning goal for the Hammers today as well.
Rice has quickly risen to become one of the best and most consistent midfielders in the Premier League. In fact, he’s up there with the best in Europe as things stand.
But one of the things West Ham fans love so much about Rice is his engagement with supporters and the way he simply loves winning football matches for the Hammers.
And Rice, as usual, was straight onto Twitter this evening to deliver his six-word verdict on proceedings.
TBR’s View: Rice vital for West Ham but is a move inevitable?
Hammers fans are probably fed up of hearing about Rice and his future being elsewhere. But those rumours won’t go away, especially if he continues to deliver as he is.
Week after week, Rice is showing just why the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United are so keen on him. That form, coupled with an outstanding Euro 2020, has shown Rice can deliver.
For now, it’s a case of the West Ham man simply continuing to do what he’s doing for the Hammers. The longer he can, then the longer the club will benefit.
But eventually, you do feel a move will come and just like Jack Grealish at Villa, he’ll seek a Champions League club.
