Declan Rice and Antonio Rudiger praise £58,000-a-week Chelsea star

Chelsea thrashed Juventus last night to go top of Group H with one game remaining in the Champions League group stages. Reece James netted once again and afterwards, he received praise from Declan Rice and Antonio Rudiger on Instagram.

It was a night when the Blues flexed their title credentials once again at Stamford Bridge. The holders brushed aside their Serie A opponents, with Trevoh Chalobah, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner also bagging.

James, 21 has come of age under Thomas Tuchel. He is a mainstay in the Chelsea team and has now scored five goals and claimed five assists from 14 games in all competitions this season.

The Blues actually lost 1-0 when they met Juventus in Turin earlier this season. Last night, however, they were no match for the current holders and Chelsea look like the team to beat once more.

James is a product of the Stamford Bridge youth academy and learned his trade out on loan with Wigan Athletic. Now, he’s a mainstay under Tuchel and it’s not difficult to understand why.

Tuchel deploys the £58,000-a-week James and Ben Chilwell as his two wing-backs and both are marauding forward at a frantic rate with each passing week at the moment.

In full flight, Chelsea are a joy to behold and their supporters are relishing every single game at the moment.

What have Rice and Rudiger said about Chelsea star James?

After his goalscoring exploits once again last night, several of his teammates and players from other clubs have taken to Instagram.

The most high profile have come from West Ham star Rice and Chelsea defender Rudiger.

Both players have summed up James using just a single word and they were quite simply astounded by his stunning performances against Juventus.

Tammy Abraham has also posted on his social media, with Kepa Arrizabalaga also getting involved.

James’ stock continues to hold no ceiling and with the defender in this form, few would bet against another trophy lift for Chelsea this season.
