Aston Villa manager, Dean Smith, has insisted that Jack Grealish and other Villa stars are not for sale.
It has been rumoured this past week that the club was under threat of breaching financial fair play regulations. With that, came talk of the club potentially having to cash in on Grealish.

Grealish has been the star of the show for Villa this term. Despite their league struggles, the skipper has been a model of consistency. Indeed, he has worked his way into the England conversation.
And speaking ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, Villa boss Smith was quick to put to bed any talk of Grealish moving on.
“I’m not looking for any players to go at all and we are not under pressure. Contrary to popular belief, no players need to leave Villa,” Smith said (Mirror).
“We are looking all the time. We have had regular meetings with Christian Purslow and Suso (Jesús Vicente Garcia Pitarch Marco), the sporting director.”
Villa spent big in the summer following promotion. The likes of Tyrone Mings, Wesley, and Trezeguet were among a host of big-money signings to join the club.

No smoke without fire
Contrary to Smith’s comments, it’s hard to believe there’s not something simmering in the background.
Villa spent a massive chunk of change in the summer. They outspent fellow promoted teams Sheffield United and Norwich City, by some margin.

However, Smith has insisted there ‘are a number of possibilities‘ when it comes to signing new players in January.
Smith also downplayed the rumours that Grealish has a release clause in his contract. The Villa boss insisting that no player has such a clause in his squad.
TBR view
It will certainly be interesting if the bids do start coming in for the likes of Grealish. Every player has a price.
Furthermore, when stories about FFP start coming to the fore, there’s usually something in it. Villa will need to be careful.
Grealish, on the other hand, will be hoping the club can sort things out without having to move him on.
