Anderlecht sporting director Frank Arnesen has been discussing the potential permanent signing of an Everton player this week. Yannick Bolasie is currently on loan at the Belgian giants. However, speaking to Het Laatste Nieuws, as relayed by Voetbal Primeur, it is quite clear that Anderlecht will not be signing him.
“No, that will be impossible.
“We cannot take over his wages from Everton.”
TBR’s View
It brings up quite an interesting problem for Everton regarding Bolasie. He clearly has no future at Goodison Park. Marco Silva is clearly not keen and they will be pushing to find him a new home going forward.

Despite an upturn in fortunes at Anderlecht, based on his form on loan at Aston Villa in the first half of the season Everton will not miss him.
However, his wages are clearly a major stumbling block. Amid the cancellation of his loan spell at Villa Park it was reported by the Birmingham Mail that Bolasie is on £70,000-a-week at Everton.
That is a huge sum for a player whose time at Everton has been struck by injury concern. Finding a team willing to pay anywhere near that amount will be ahuge task for the Everton hierarchy. If they can’t, then Bolasie’s wages will continue to hurt the club in pursuit of new talent.
