'Deal agreed': Romano shares length of contract Roca will sign at Leeds, medical happening today
The contract Marc Roca will sign when he joins Leeds United from Bayern Munich will run until the summer of 2026.
Fabrizio Romano says that Roca will do his medical today (Friday) with a deal all agreed and set up for him to move to Elland Road.
Roca has looked set to become the Whites’ third signing of the summer for a little while, with it only being a matter of time until the deal is done.
After his medical, it seems that he will also complete his move before the end of the week.
Roca to sign Leeds contract until 2026
Leeds have needed to strengthen their midfield for a while and the imminent arrival of Roca looks a good step in that direction.
He obviously has good pedigree from his time at Bayern, where he will have worked with some of the best players in the world.
If he can bring that elite mentality to Elland Road, it could help avoid another season of struggle for the Whites.
This will of course be Jesse Marsch’s first full campaign in charge and he is looking to reshape the squad in his own image.
That likely involves fleshing his options out a bit more, after Marcelo Bielsa liked to work with a smaller pool of players.
That bit Leeds somewhat when injuries hit and even under Bielsa, they needed that one extra midfielder at least.
Leeds have done some good early business and it always helps having the players signed, sealed and delivered by the time pre-season starts, to give them the best possible chance of bedding in.
