Many rival fans believe that Danny Ings is going to join Tottenham Hotspur after turning down a contract with Southampton.
The Athletic reported this morning that Ings has rejected a new deal with the Saints, which casts big doubts over his future.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with Ings over numerous transfer windows now.
And many fans are of the belief that the striker will end up at Tottenham, with Harry Kane’s future in doubt.
Ings in?
Tottenham have so far been defiant over offers for Kane, and there is a belief among the club that he will stay.
But Spurs will still surely want to land a new number nine to provide competition.
Tottenham had Carlos Vinicius on loan last term to provide cover for Kane, but he never made enough of an impact to make the move into a permanent one.
Spurs would be buying a far more proven player if they were to land Ings, although his price tag of £30 million reflects that (Sunday Mirror).
And whether a player of his quality would be happy to play a rotational role, if Kane remains at the club, is also very much up for debate.
