Jack Harrison produced one of his better displays of the season for Leeds United on Tuesday night as the Whites beat West Bromwich Albion at Elland Road 1-0 – and David Villa has applauded the Leeds winger on Instagram.
West Brom came into the match unbeaten this season under new manager Slaven Bilic, and their excellent start has made the Baggies one of the favourites to gain promotion from the Championship this season.
However, the Baggies came unstuck against Marcelo Bielsa’s side, as Leeds earned a 1-0 win. Harrison, 22, was crucial to the win. The Manchester City loanee put in a hard-working display, and got the assist for Leeds’ goal.
He remained patient on the edge of the area, twisting and turning, before laying Gjanni Alioski off who struck a left-footed effort towards goal – slightly deflected towards goal by former Leeds man Kyle Bartley. Harrison posted on Instagram.
Harrison, who is said to be earning as much as £51,000 a week at Manchester City (Spotrac), has started every game for Leeds and although there was doubts about his displays, his outing against West Brom was excellent.
Harrison played alongside Spanish legend David Villa at New York City before joining Manchester City, and the former Barcelona icon replied to Harrison’s Instagram, describing Harrison as a “golden boy”.
