David Seaman shares instant reaction to Arsenal’s win over Chelsea

Arsenal legend David Seaman has given his verdict on the Gunners’ Premier League victory on Wednesday night.

Mikel Arteta’s charges ran out 1-0 winners at Chelsea, with Emile Smith Rowe netting in the 16th minute of the match.

Arsenal’s winner came about thanks to a mistake from Jorginho, who misjudged a back pass and nearly sent it into the open goal.

Kepa Arrizabalaga did well to keep it out, but the ball fell to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who teed up Smith Rowe for a simple finish.

The hosts set about trying to get back into the game and were dominant for much of the encounter, but couldn’t trouble Bernd Leno until the latter stages of the game.

Arsenal now sit only a point behind north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who have played a game less.

The Gunners are next in action next Wednesday and it’s another local trip as they head to Crystal Palace.
