Arsenal are back on track after getting the better of Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday’s North London derby.

The Gunners had stumbled slightly just before the international break and there were concerns ahead of the game due to missing players.

However, Arsenal worked hard to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with all three points, courtesy of Gabriel Magalhaes’ second-half header.

Spurs conceded in the 64th minute of the game as Bukayo Saka delivered an in-swinging corner that Gabriel rose to head home.

Guglielmo Vicario found himself boxed in once again, the Tottenham goalkeeper copping some criticism after the match.

Arsenal legend David Seaman, speaking on the Seaman Says podcast, delivered a stern verdict on Vicario.

David Seaman says Arsenal did their homework on Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario

Seaman expressed his happiness with Arsenal as they did their “homework” on Vicario once again.

The Highbury icon also criticised the Spurs man for how he got “too involved” with his own players during the game.

“I love that we’ve done our homework on Vicario again,” said Seaman.

“You could tell that he was getting too involved in what’s around him before the ball came in. He did that in last season’s game I think.

“With this goal, he gets too involved with the players around him, but actually these players that were around him in this game were his own players.

“Whereas last time Ben White did a great number on him and just blocked him and moved off, this time it was his own players.

“He didn’t even come out to a ball that he should have been coming out to, at least punch it, if not catch it.”

What has Vicario said about Arsenal’s winner against Tottenham?

Vicario admitted that it was a “good delivery” from Saka and that it’ll be “tough to find a solution”, but they will work hard to do so.

“It is tough to find a solution,” said the £75,000-a-week man, as per The Express.

“It’s a good delivery. Maybe Gabriel is a little bit just free to head the ball and put it down in the net. We will look, we will look.

“Of course in our meeting we will analyse, try to fix it and try to do better. It is tough because in this case small details can change the result and the outcome of the games.

“We have a brilliant coach, brilliant staff that can help us so we just need to stay together and believe in our football because we played such good games until now.

“(This) is a big defeat, we take the responsibility for that and now we have to prepare our best level for the next two games.”
