Arsenal ran out 3-1 winners against Olympiakos last night but former goalkeeper, David Seaman, has said the Gunners need to be better defensively in order to beat Spurs this weekend.

Goals from Odegaard, Gabriel, and Elneny were enough to see the Greek side off as Mikel Arteta eyes a Europa League success.

But while Seaman was impressed enough by the result, he took to Twitter to suggest that his former team needs to be ‘tighter’ in order to get something from the North London derby this weekend.

Arsenal played well enough throughout but did conceded six chances to Olympiakos, while the Gunners also needed to put three well timed blocks in on their opponents’ shots.

The clash this weekend is huge for Arsenal if they are to mount a late run at the European places in the Premier League. The Gunners currently sit seven points behind Spurs in seventh but can narrow the gap with a win.

TBR View: Arsenal looked good but Kane and Spurs a different animal

Seaman makes a good point really. While they were relatively untroubled in the main, if Arsenal hand the likes of Kane, Son and Bale the spaces the did at times against Olympiakos, they’ll be punished.

Those top players like Kane will simply punish you.

On the flipside, the Gunners have looked pretty good at times in recent weeks and should head into the game in a confident mood and looking to get one over on their North London rivals.
