Arsenal secured a 2-1 win over Rapid Vienna this evening in what was a tough fixture against the hard-working Austrian side.
In the end, goals from David Luiz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang secured the win for Mikel Arteta’s side after Bernd Leno’s mistake had previously gifted Rapid an early second-half lead.
Whilst it was the result that was most important for the Gunners, there was also a full debut for their big transfer window recruit, Thomas Partey.

The Ghanaian international arrived in a reported (Guardian) £45 million deal from Spanish side Atletico Madrid and has been tasked with stabilizing the midfield at The Emirates.
Based on this early performance, Arsenal fans have plenty to be excited about.
Indeed, one former Arsenal goalkeeper made his feelings clear. David Seaman referenced the moments of panic in the game, probably referencing fellow keeper Bernd Leno’s indifferent display.
But when it came to Partey, Seaman had nothing but praise.
There is no doubt Partey was sensational on debut, with pundits Owen Hargreaves and Martin Keown, a fellow former Arsenal star, also lavishing praise on the 27-year-old for his performance.
Arsenal will just hope it is a sign of things to come for the midfielder who will be looking to continue such dominant performances going forward.
