Arsenal legend and former goalkeeper, David Seaman, was vocal in his support and criticism of Alex Runarsson last night as the Gunners stopper had a miserable night.
Runarsson was nervy throughout and compounded his miserable night against City by fumbling a Riyad Mahrez free-kick into his own goal to all but gift Pep Guardiola’s team the win.

Seaman, then, who was obviously watching from afar an initially took to Twitter to support Runarsson, suggesting he needed to show a reaction and move on with the game.
However, following on from the error from Mahrez’s free-kick, Seaman seemed to quickly change tact and offered his own, albeit tongue-in-cheek (we think), solution to the matter at hand.
It seems, then, that even Seaman was fed up of Arsenal’s Runarsson’s display last night as the Gunners were easily cast aside by City.

Selling Emi Martinez in the summer now doesn’t look such a bold move by Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta.
What a nightmare for Runarsson, he must do better – TBR View
The stopper will probably get the benefit of the doubt as anyone can have an off night but this was an error ridden display that will have done little to inspire any confidence.
Seaman’s tweets say it all really. He needs to bounce back and more seriously, Arteta might have to look into the market again if this sort of form continues from the Icelandic stopper.
Put simply, it wasn’t good enough and simply added to Arteta’s woes.
