Former England internationals David Seaman and Brian Deane both reacted on Twitter on Tuesday night following Leeds United’s remarkable comeback win against Millwall.

The Whites managed to secure a 3-2 home victory at Elland Road against Millwall, despite appearing to be out of the contest trailing 2-0 at half-time.

Patrick Bamford (two) and Pablo Hernandez scored the goals in the second-half to stage a brilliant turnaround for the hosts.

The results also meant that Leeds leapfrogged West Brom in the Championship table to move top of the league and get their promotion bid back on track.

Marcelo Bielsa’s team had previously lost back-to-back league matches, but returned to winning ways in a timely fashion against Millwall and still have a chasing pack behind them.

Goalkeeper legend Seaman, who was on the books at Leeds as a youngster, expressed his delight on social media.

“You had me worried but now we’re back at the top,” Seaman wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Meanwhile, ex-Leeds striker Deane hailed a quality performance from the Yorkshire giants to earn three points.

“That was some comeback to be fair, some tempo even from my sofa it was electric, great character from everyone involved,” Deane wrote on his personal Twitter account.

TBR’s View:

Leeds really showed a title-winning mentality to wrap up a win in midweek against Millwall, but they need to build on that to try build on that by beating Wigan at home on Saturday and securing their spot back at the top of the table again.

They will see over their shoulder that third-placed Nottingham Forest are only four points adrift and the race for promotion his hotting up.

It was a big individual night for Bamford to get on the scoresheet twice and he will surely need to keep that sort of form up to stay ahead of new signing Jean-Kevin Augustin.

Meanwhile, Hernandez popped up with the kind of magic that Leeds fans have become used to from him.
