David Ornstein says he’s been told Man Utd definitely won’t be signing £50m player

Manchester United have a big summer transfer window coming up.

Indeed, the Red Devils are set to have their worst season in Premier League history, and while the Europa League could still salvage something, this has been a terrible season to say the least.

Luckily, the summer is a chance for a reset and new chapters to be written at Old Trafford.

United already have some transfer targets in mind. Matheus Cunha is an option for United, while Liam Delap has been heavily linked.

Speaking on NBC, David Ornstein has been discussing what Manchester United may end up doing this summer, and, interestingly, he’s named one player who definitely won’t be joining United.

Victor Osimhen won’t be signing for Manchester United

Ornstein shared what he knows about United and their summer transfer plans.

According to the journalist, Liam Delap is indeed United’s top striker target, but he’s been assured that Victor Osimhen will not be headed to Old Trafford.

Osimhen has been linked with a move to England for ages, but he won’t be joining United this summer.

“The priority for Manchester United in the upcoming transfer window is attack, and they are looking for a centre-forward and a number 10. The finances are in place to do the deals they would like to do, and they do not depend on European football I’m told.

“Their main focus for the number 10 position is Cunha, in the striker position, Delap is their number one target, he has a £30m release clause, but there are other suitors for him.

“I’m assured it will not be Victor Osimhen despite reports you may be reading, he is not on the agenda for Manchester United.”

Victor Osimhen compared to Liam Delap

Victor Osimhen will not be headed to Manchester United this summer, but it’s hard not to think that United are missing a trick here.

Indeed, United are prioritising a move for Liam Delap, and while Delap has been brilliant this season, the £50m man is more proven and more potent, as the stats show.

As good as Delap has looked this season, the reality is that he’s only had one campaign at the top level, and, even then, he’s set to be relegated.

Meanwhile, Osimhen has been doing the business for years in different countries as well as in Europe and internationally.

Osimhen would be the better option for United here, but, for one reason or another, the Red Devils won’t be going for the Nigerian.
