Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move to sign Pedro Neto, but David Ornstein says he doesn’t think the Gunners will meet Wolves’ demands.
The North Londoners are expected to be very busy in this summer’s transfer window. A lot of activity is expected at the Emirates, but all eyes will be on incomings. Neto has been of interest to Arsenal for a while now.

David Ornstein says it’s unlikely Arsenal will sign Pedro Neto for £80m
Arsenal should seriously consider signing a new wide player this summer, especially on the right wing.
Bukayo Saka is the main man on that flank, and the Englishman barely ever gets a break. He starts almost every single game, and that’s not ideal at all, is it?
A new right-winger has to be high up on Arsenal’s agenda this summer, and Wolves star Pedro Neto has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates for months now.
The Portuguese attacker is having a fine season at Wolves. He has directly been involved in 14 goals already, and a number of clubs are keeping an eye on him.
However, David Ornstein has claimed that Wolves have slapped a £80 million price tag on Neto, and the journalist says it’s ‘unlikely’ Arsenal will sign him for that fee.
He said in a Q&A on The Athletic: “Neto remains of interest but he is not the only option and it is unlikely Arsenal will pay what I understand to be Wolves’ asking price (£80m) for a brilliant player and character but one who does not have a great injury record.
“There will also be competition for Neto, with the likes of Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd, Newcastle and Tottenham all potentially in the mix.”

£80m is a lot of money for Neto
Pedro Neto is a wonderful footballer, but is he worth £80 million? We don’t think so.
Arsenal‘s priority in the summer will be on a new striker, while reinforcements in midfield are also just as important, especially if Thomas Partey leaves the club.
Those two positions alone will cost a fortune, so we just can’t see Arsenal spending £80 million on Neto. Even if the Gunners could afford it, we don’t think the Wolves star is worth that fee.
We think Arsenal will consider a much cheaper option in the summer. Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams, who will be available for just £43 million, would be a fine alternative to Neto (90min).
