David Ornstein has tipped Facundo Pellistri to leave Manchester United on loan before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
The Uruguay international has been strongly linked with a temporary departure from Old Trafford this month, with numerous clubs linked with a move for the 22-year-old winger.
However, La Liga side Granada have emerged as the most likely destination for Pellistri, with the attacker already spending a year out on loan in Spain with Alaves.

And speaking on the Athletic’s Briefing Show, Ornstein revealed that Pellistri is a player the transfer insider expects to be on the move soon, with Granada the destination.
Indeed, the Uruguay youngster is in need of regular playing time, and Pellistri can get just that with Granda this January, with the Spanish side sat 19th in the La Liga standings.
Ornstein said: “My ones to watch are Facundo Pellistri who I believe is expected to travel from the UK to Spain ahead of signing for Granada on a loan deal from Manchester United until the end of the season.”
Facundo Pellistri needs a big few months to save Manchester United career

Lauded by Ally McCoist as an ‘excellent’ player at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Pellisitri is at a crossroads in his United career under Erik Ten Hag.
Whilst performances have been good, the 22-year-old is yet to score a goal for the Red Devils, with Pellisitri also struggling to contribute during his season-long loan spell at Alaves.
As a result, things have to turn around for Pellistri in a big way in the coming weeks if the forward joins Granada on loan for the remainder of the season.
And the attacker knows that failing to impress out in Spain could leave to Pellistri being sold for good, with United once again scrapping another failed wonderkid project.
