Arsenal and Dusan Vlahovic seem to be going hand in hand with each other during this January transfer but as yet, there is no deal to bring the Serbian to North London.
Vlahovic has emerged as the number one target for the Gunners this month. The Fiorentina star’s performances and goals in the last 12 months have seen him becomes one of the most sought-after players in Europe. He’s now into the final 18 months of his contact, too, and La Viola are looking to cash in.

However, reports have suggested consistently that Vlahovic might well stay in Italy until at least the summer. That would seem to rule out any sort of January move from Arsenal. But according to David Ornstein, that might not be the case and the Gunners won’t simply give up this month with nine days to go.
“It’s a really delicate situation. With quite a few days in the window left to go, I don’t think it’s one that Arsenal are going to turn their back on. It’s one which Arsenal will need to lean on their ownership for support with (financially) but we saw that with Thomas Partey, for example,” Ornstein said on his YouTube show.
“But when you speak to people around the game, the sort of numbers being touted for Vlahovic are not ridiculous for a player in that position. I find it quite fascinating that Arsenal are prepared to mix it in that market.”
TBR’s View: Arsenal Biding Their Time With Vlahovic?
One day it looks like Arsenal are out of it with Vlahovic, the next it seems they might still be in the mix for things. But one thing is for certain, and that’s that Edu has ensured the Gunners are well-placed.
Otherwise, Arsenal wouldn’t be in the conversation anymore. We’ve seen how Arsenal can act quickly to get deals done when needed, such as with Martin Odegaard and Partey as Ornstein says.
If the Gunners pull this one off, then Arsenal fans will be dancing in the streets at the end of January.
