Arsenal continue to be linked with new strikers, and the latest player to be touted for a move to the Gunners is Joshua Zirkzee.
The Bologna striker is ripping it up in Serie A at the moment, and, inevitably, he’s been at the centre of plenty of speculation since he’s hit form.
Arsenal are said to be keen on Zirkzee, but, unfortunately, it doesn’t sound as though this deal is likely to go through this month.
Indeed, according to David Ornstein, speaking on the Transfer Gossip Daily Podcast, Zirkzee isn’t likely to join Arsenal this month.

Zirkzee unlikely to join
Ornstein shared what he knows about the Dutch attacker.
“To do someone a deal like Zirkzee is pretty unfeasible this month, he’s attracting a lot of eyes across Europe, Bayern have some control over the situation due to come convoluted buyback possibility. I don’t think he will go to Arsenal, I think too much needs to happen and they’re planning for a quiet month at Arsenal,” Ornstein said.
Difficult month
All the noises coming out of Arsenal suggest that this is going to be a very difficult month for the Gunners.
After such a huge summer of spending, it looks like the pursestrings are really tight at Arsenal right now, and a reported £50m move for someone like Zirkzee appears to be beyond them.
Of course, a few player sales could change things quickly, but, as of yet, Arsenal don’t seem to be keen to raise cash in that way.
The Gunners certainly need new players through the door if they are to challenge for the Premier League title once again, but, sadly, that’s easier said than done.
Zirkzee may be a target for Arsenal in the future, but it sounds as though a January move isn’t on the cards.
