Mikel Arteta is enjoying quite the run as Arsenal manager at the moment and according to David Ornstein, the Gunners are a team that have caught the eye among others as well.
Arsenal hammered Watford last week to continue their fine form. They are firmly on track to make it into the top four and have games in hand on their nearest rivals. Of course, they have some big games coming up, starting with the clash against Leicester City this weekend.

But according to respected journalist David Ornstein, there is a good feeling around the club about Arteta and his work and a genuine belief that the club is moving in the right direction.
“There is huge optimism for both the medium and long-term. Arsenal, inside the club, believed in him but results weren’t initially showing it after that FA Cup run,” Ornstein said on Sky Sports. (va Football Daily)
“But we’ve seen in the past how a season without Europe can help you. They’ve had a single track thought process on the top four. They’ve got a lot of young players who are shining, blending them with experienced players. Their recruitment seems to have been pretty shrewd. What’s really exciting for Arsenal is when you speak to people around the game, they think they’re one of the best placed teams to really accelerate into the future with those players.”
Arsenal have won three on the bounce and could welcome back Emile Smith Rowe this weekend to further boost proceedings.
TBR’s View: Arsenal Reaping Rewards For Patience
If you paid any attention to the Arsenal social media juggernaut then Mikel Arteta might have been packing his bags a long time ago. Such is the reactionary nature of football nowadays, that some fans called for the Spaniard to go many moons back.
But Arsenal, to their credit, have stuck by Arteta and their plan and are now reaping the benefits. The top four is very much in sight and that is to the testament of the entire club.
As Ornstein says, those initial worries seem to have gone away and it’s full steam ahead in terms of planning for the future with Arteta at the helm.
