David Moyes uses one word for Harry Kane display in Tottenham win

David Moyes has said that Harry Kane was magnificent on Sunday as Tottenham Hotspur surely ended West Ham’s hopes of finishing in the top-four in the Premier League – in comments reported by BBC Sport.

The Hammers now find themselves six points adrift of Arsenal. And they have now played two games more following their trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Unfortunately, they were unable to replicate their heroics in the Europa League on Thursday. Kurt Zouma broke the deadlock with an own goal before Son Heung-min doubled the lead.

Said Benrahma got a goal back before the break. But ultimately, it was Spurs who scored that crucial fourth goal. Once again, it was Son who beat Lukasz Fabianski.

All three of the goals were set up by Kane. The striker found Son with a delicious pass for the South Korean’s first of the afternoon. But clearly, Moyes was not happy with Tottenham’s third goal.

A long ball from Hugo Lloris saw Craig Dawson and Kurt Zouma lose out in the air to Kane. And that left Son in all kinds of space to run through and find the back of the net.

Moyes was understandably unhappy with the goal, but he did praise Kane for his performance.

“We gave away an Under-12s goal for the third goal,” he said, as reported by BBC Sport. “Kane was magnificent.”

Kane is most definitely playing at something like his very best right now. He missed out on scoring in a fifth game in a row. But he showed how lethal he can be at creating goals against West Ham.

Tottenham now have a very good chance of finishing in the top-four given that there is one North London Derby still to go. And Kane is arguably the biggest reason that their hopes are still very much alive.
