Arsenal have gone from strength to strength since Mikel Arteta took the reins in 2019.
The Gunners were in mid-table when he took the reins, but now they’ve been in the Premier League title race for the past two years.
Great signings have been key to Arsenal’s rise back to prominence, with Arteta more often than not striking gold in the transfer market.
For instance, signing Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus helped push Arsenal back into title contention in 2022/23.
And the following season, the Gunners’ record-breaking move for Declan Rice saw them go up another level.

Arsenal reportedly spent £105million to sign the England midfielder, and he has been so good for the north Londoners that the fee seems like a bargain.
David Moyes, who managed Rice at West Ham, has now spoken about his former player, noting what things he has improved on since moving to Arsenal.
What has David Moyes said about Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice?
“I think, Mikel, you know, it’s a bit like sometimes you want to take credit,” Moyes said on talkSPORT. “Mikel has done a great job with him.
“There were things that you will know and we know that maybe Declan wasn’t quite as good at sometimes, bits of his games.
“But I think the bit with the punditry and people who watch football picked out, they always said can he score a goal, can he break forward, can he make a key pass, well, I think Mikel and Declan have gone on and showed exactly that he can.
“He is now becoming a bit of a set-piece expert for Arsenal as well. He strikes the ball so hard, so fast that the speed of the ball movement is actually part of the set-piece delivery.”
Rice developed into a world-class player at West Ham, culminating in Arsenal spending so much money on him, and he has certainly gone up a few gears since then.
As a deal, it was a winner for all parties. The Gunners got themselves an amazing player, Rice joined a club that can routinely challenge for the title and the Champions League, and the Hammers earned a big fee they could reinvest in the squad.
