West Ham United manager David Moyes has revealed that Nayef Aguerd is “really close” to a return to action.
The 26-year-old defender joined the Hammers from Rennes in the summer for a reported £28million.
However, Aguerd is yet to feature competitively for West Ham.

He seriously injured his ankle during a pre-season friendly with Rangers and subsequently underwent surgery.
After three months on the sidelines, Aguerd has now returned to first-team training.
And speaking ahead of West Ham’s trip to Liverpool, Moyes provided an update on the Morocco international.
“Really good news that he’s on his way back,” the Hammers boss told football.london.
“We bought him in as a key player for us and he gets injured in just about his first pre-season game.
“Really difficult for us but he’s very close, he’s started training.
“He’s not fully integrated with the players yet as far as that goes but he’s getting closer to playing again.”

Superb news for West Ham – TBR View
Aguerd arrived at West Ham to much fanfare and it’s a shame he’s yet to feature for the Hammers due to this injury.
Therefore, news of his return to training and seemingly imminent return to action is amazing news.
Considering the current central defensive injury crisis that Moyes has on his hands, Aguerd’s return to training could not have come at a better time.
