Arsenal defender David Luiz has praised the impact Mikel Arteta has had on the club since his appointment as manager.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Luiz tipped Arteta to become one of the best managers in the world and believes he has brought the fun back to the club.
He said: “You have to have fun not just in football, but in life. That’s the most important thing – and Mikel Arteta has brought that back. Working with Mikel has been great since the first day. He wants to try to bring the shine back to this club with a winning mentality and by working hard every single day.
He’s trying to do everything as well as possible to achieve that. I’m enjoying it a lot. He learned in the best way, so for sure he will be one of the best soon. He knows football. He’s more than prepared to do the job.”

TBR’s View – Arteta’s impact could be like Rodgers at Leicester
Luiz’s words underline that Arteta’s impact is being felt at the club, despite results on the pitch not taking a sharp upturn yet.
Perhaps the real results will be seen next season. That was the case for Brendan Rodgers at Leicester last season, when he came in with the season all but over but laid the groundwork for the strong campaign this term.
Given Luiz is one of the senior men in Arsenal’s squad, his glowing praise of Arteta indicates that the players are united behind what he’s trying to achieve.
