TBR Football understands that David Beckham’s Inter Miami are trying to compete with several European giants for the signing of Mexican starlet Gilberto Mora.
Manchester United are one of several clubs that are keen on the teenager, along with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Mora is one of the most talked about players in North America, given that he is a first-team regular, aged just 16.
The midfielder made his debut for Tijuana just 10 days after his 15th birthday, and he has gone on to make nearly 50 first-team appearances.
Mora is also a full Mexican international and is expected to be part of the World Cup squad next summer.
However, before that, he has been named in their squad for the forthcoming Under-20 World Cup finals in Chile later this month, where he is set to be one of the most talked about players at the tournament.

Exclusive: Manchester United and David Beckham face strong competition to sign Gilberto Mora
Sources have told TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, that Mora’s camp have been made aware of interest from across the world.
Mora is emerging as one of the young talents who literally have his pick of clubs when he decides to leave Tijuana.
Obviously, FIFA rules do not let players under the age of 18 move across nations; however, deals can be put in place prior to that, and that is what is set to happen with Mora.
TBR Football understands that David Beckham wants to capture arguably the best young talent in North America, potentially the brightest prospect ever seen, but they have a tough job on their hands.
But they are not alone with Man United, Real Madrid, PSG, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund all on the player’s trail.
The rest of the Premier League, including Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City are also very much aware of him.
Real Madrid and Chelsea could be the biggest threats to sign Gilberto Mora
But arguably the biggest dangers, TBR Football is told, are Chelsea, who have a fantastic recent record of luring the world’s best young talent to Stamford Bridge.
However, sources with knowledge of the player’s camp believe that Real Madrid, who have previously been the home of Mexican superstars Hugo Sanchez and Javier Hernandez, could be his preferred destination.
For his part, Mora has not made any decision on his future and is not believed to be in a huge hurry to commit to a move.

Speaking about the youngster’s situation, Bailey told TBR Football: “Gilberto Mora is a name that everyone in football is talking about, across Europe. There have been a few players that I have heard more chatter about than him.
“He is likely going to be the most talked about player at the forthcoming Under-20 World Cup, and indeed, he is likely to feature at a home World Cup finals – it’s going to be a huge 12 months for Mora and Mexican football.”
