Darren Bent wants Arsenal to trade five players and £50m to sign £100m England international
Darren Bent has suggested to TalkSPORT that Arsenal should trade five players for Jude Bellingham.
Big swap deal
Bellingham has emerged as one of the best young talents in world football.
With Arsenal building a team full of youngsters with great potential, it was put to Bent whether he would take Bellingham at the Emirates Stadium.
And the striker’s response was emphatic. He said: “I’d literally switch five players for him.
“Xhaka, Elneny, Cedric, Leno and Chambers. There’s your five and I’d give you £50 million too on top of that!”
Of course, Arsenal’s chances of landing Bellingham look extremely limited unless they have a huge turnaround this season.
Mikel Arteta’s side have started the season inauspiciously and unless they can offer Bellingham Champions League football, signing him would basically be impossible.
The impossible deal?
The 18-year-old, who is valued at £100 million (EuroSport), is already drawing admiring glances from some of the biggest teams in the world.
Bellingham would surely walk straight into Arsenal’s starting line-up if the dream transfer was to happen though.
His energy combined with his technical ability and physical prowess make him a complete midfield, and he would be the jewel in the Gunners’ crown if any potential deal could somehow be done.
