'Real good': Darren Bent posts five-word reaction as Arsenal demolish Sevilla in first-half at The Emirates
Well, things are going swimmingly for the Arsenal in their final pre-season friendly, with the Gunners hammering Sevilla at The Emirates just now.
Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka both have braces to their names and Arsenal fans are loving what they’re seeing from their team against the usually impressive Spanish side. Of course, eyes are fixed on how the new signings are doing and both Jesus and Zinchenko are impressing a lot, as is William Saliba.
Naturally, a high-profile friendly like this is always going to have plenty of eyes on it and well-known Arsenal supporting pundit, Darren Bent, has been one of those keeping a close watch. And the TalkSPORT regular has given his reaction on Twitter, and it’s safe to say he’s impressed.
Bent’s reaction came in the midst of Jesus bagging his second goal of the afternoon, a cool finish from a nice ball over the top from Gabriel Martinelli.
Certainly, for now anyway, it seems like Gabriel Jesus is already having a huge impact at Arsenal. He was signed to score goals, and he is duly obliging throughout pre-season and in front of the home crowd.
TBR’s View: Jesus Will Do Wonders For Arsenal
It might only be pre-season and things will be cranked up a notch against Crystal Palace next week but this is looking good right now for Arsenal.
Any new signing loves to be among the goals and Gunners fans seeing Gabriel Jesus in and amongst them will be one of the most pleasing aspects of the day. This has been one of the most impressive opening 45 minutes in pre-season this year from any team.
If Jesus can take this form into the actual season, then there is a high chance Arsenal will really challenge for those top four spots.
