Darren Bent says Jude Bellingham would be a better signing for Arsenal than Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane is undoubtedly England’s best player, but Darren Bent would rather Arsenal sign Jude Bellingham than the Spurs star.

The Three Lions are in Qatar for the World Cup. England’s squad is a very good one, and if things go their way, they could achieve something really special over the next six weeks.

Kane and Bellingham will be key for Gareth Southgate’s side.

Darren Bent says Jude Bellingham would be a better signing for Arsenal than Harry Kane

If you offer any club in the world one England player to sign in January, most sides would pick Kane.

The Tottenham star is one of the best strikers in the world. He guarantees goals, and if he’s at a better club than Spurs, he’ll surely lead the side to multiple trophies.

Bent believes everyone would pick Kane if given an opportunity, but as an Arsenal fan, he believes Borussia Dortmund star Bellingham would be a much better fit in Mikel Arteta’s side.

Speaking about the England player he’d most want at Arsenal, Bent said on talkSPORT: “Jude Bellingham would be the one.

“Everyone would say Harry Kane. But I’d take Jude Bellingham. He’s got energy, he’s young.”

Arsenal need some help in the January transfer window if they want to stay on top of the Premier League table until the end of the campaign.

Gabriel Jesus has gone 10 games without a goal, which shows they could do with an out-and-out goalscorer. Someone as prolific as Kane would be absolutely outstanding.

The Gunners are short of options in midfield as well. Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka are the guaranteed starters, but they need more quality bodies in the middle of the park. Bellingham would check all the boxes Arteta looks for in a player.

However, as things stand, Arsenal’s chances of signing either Kane or Bellingham are as close to zero as anything can ever be.
