‘We’ve seen it before’: Darren Bent predicts what will happen when Arsenal face Chelsea this weekend

Arsenal take on Chelsea this weekend and Darren Bent has tried to predict just how the game will go at Stamford Bridge.

Bent, who is a self-confessed Arsenal fan, was speaking on TalkSPORT. It’s one of the biggest games of the season for Arsenal, who can put down yet another marker with a win over the Blues.

However, Bent has some concerns. And while he is confident in Arsenal’s ability to win, he feels Chelsea are a team who always seem to find a way.

“Well Arsenal went there and won 4-2 last season. I am confident. Arsenal can go to Chelsea and cause problems.

“But the thing about Chelsea, and we’ve seen it before, they can get results. When their backs are against the wall, that football club over the years has got results in some of the biggest games out there, for example Champions League finals. They seem to just get it done when they need to,” Bent said on TalkSport.

“But Arsenal should be going there full of confidence off the back of a 1-0 win. They’re in good form Arsenal. They’re consistent, solid, know exactly what they’re doing. Some of the Arsenal players are playing at the top of their game. Thomas Partey, wow. Odegaard’s playing well. Ben White at right-back, he’s made that position his own. If you’re an Arsenal fan as I am, you’ve got to be confident.”

TBR’s View: Arsenal can beat Chelsea this weekend

If ever there was a game to win to show your title credentials, then this is it for Arsenal.

Going to Stamford Bridge and scoring a big win would be massive for the Gunners. They’ve already shown this season they can compete with the best. And they’ll need to do it again tomorrow.

The only concern for Arsenal will be thinking back to that Manchester United game. They were beaten that day as United rode their luck. Arteta, then, will be conscious of his players not being completely at it.
