Darren Bent has tipped Liverpool to finish higher than Manchester United this season despite now having Cristiano Ronaldo back.
The talkSPORT pundit spoke as the Anfield club’s rivals sensationally re-signed the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Indeed, Bent reckons Chelsea and Manchester City will also finish higher than the Red Devils.

Liverpool struggled last season amid a spate of injuries to key players.
However, with Virgil van Dijk and other top players back, Jurgen Klopp’s charges have begun the season well.
Liverpool have won both their opening games, scoring five and conceding none.
With the Reds back to their strongest and best, they’re a good shout to win the Premier League title.
However, they’ve got stern competition from the likes of Chelsea and City.
And Ronaldo’s shock return to United has seen some pundits tip them to compete for the title too.

While Bent reckons the 36-year-old will score plenty, he still doesn’t think United can leapfrog Liverpool and the other two teams.
“He looks after himself, so I think there’s gonna be no drop-off in terms of the ultimate professional,” Bent said on talkSPORT.
“He will score the goals, I still don’t make Manchester United favourites.
“I still put Liverpool ahead, Chelsea and Manchester City.”
Host and United fan Andy Goldstein asked: “Just to confirm this, so I’m not putting words into your mouth…
“You think, with Ronaldo, United will come fourth?”
Bent replied: “I think you’ll come fourth, yeah. I still put them three teams ahead of you.”
