Darren Bent believes Heung-Min Son would get into Liverpool and Manchester City's team

Tottenham Hotspur star Heung-Min Son would start for every Premier League team, including Liverpool and Manchester City, according to Darren Bent.

The talkSPORT pundit believes the South Korean international is a more consistent performer than Sadio Mane.

The 29-year-old is in red-hot form as Antonio Conte’s Spurs continue their charge for the all-important fourth Champions League spot.

Spurs’ number seven has six goals from his last three Premier League games and 17 goals in the top-flight this season.

Only Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah (20) has scored more goals in the Premier League this season than the former Bayer Leverkusen man.

Son was in devastating form against Aston Villa on Saturday and he scored a hat-trick as Spurs beat Steven Gerrard’s side 4-0 at Villa Park.

While Liverpool chase an unprecedented quadruple, Mane, who won the African Cup of Nations with Senegal earlier this year, has 13 Premier League goals to his name.

But former Spurs striker Bent feels Son would get ahead of the 30-year-old Senegalese international due to his consistency.

“Yes, I think he does [get into any Premier League side] now,” said the former England international. “The only exception was I always used to think would he get ahead of Sadio Mane?

“Probably a couple of seasons ago, not last season because Mane had a bit of a down year, but Heung-Min Son steps up all the time.

“He scores goals, creates goals, and can finish with either foot.

“I think on that left-hand side he would get into any Premier League team. City as well.

“He carries such a goal-threat. He’s intelligent with his movement he consistently scores goals every season. I think you would put him in there.”
