Danny Rose pays tribute to Harry Kane’s professionalism after weekend hat-trick

Kane was criticised last weekend but responded in style on Saturday.

Danny Rose paid tribute to his England and Tottenham team-mate Harry Kane after his hat-trick earned a 4-0 victory over Bulgaria on Saturday.

Kane found himself at the centre of a diving storm but responded by hitting three goals at Wembley, and Rose was keen to point out just how good the striker is.

As per the Daily Star, Rose said: “When things are not going right at our club, he is the first one in the changing room to say what we need to do. We should relish watching him.

“When he is in the team, you are guaranteed goals and a leader who will give you everything. What is scary is that he is only 27 and hopefully the best years are still to come.”

TBR’s View – Rose’s words indicate that Kane should really be Tottenham’s captain

The debate will rage on about whether the likes of Sergio Aguero are better than Kane, but the fact remains that he guarantees goals when he plays and is getting better all the time at bringing others into play.

He is the ideal captain for this England side, and from what Rose is saying, he is a captain-in-waiting at Tottenham as well.

Taking the armband off Hugo Lloris would be a big call, but if he’d done it last season, many Spurs fans would have accepted it and probably embraced it.

Kane is in pole position to be the next skipper of Spurs and the example he sets to his team-mates is first class.
