Arsenal could still make a major splash in the summer transfer market with over two weeks to finalise any deals in the works.
Having finished just two points adrift of the title winners, not a lot had changed at Arsenal this summer with Mikel Arteta only welcoming one new signing.
Riccardo Calafiori marks a quality addition to the Arsenal squad this summer, but there are still other areas of the side which could do with strengthening.
Although the Gunners may not have had an issue scoring goals last season there is still a need for the north London outfit to potentially add a new striker.
However, there has now been a warning sent out by Danny Murphy over signing one of the strikers who Arsenal have been strongly linked with this summer.

Arsenal warned against signing £50m striker
There is still plenty of business which could be secured over the coming weeks in north London with Mikel Merino a player of real interest as Arsenal consider an opening bid.
But a new striker is also on the radar with Victor Osimhen agitating for a summer move with Arsenal keen on the Nigeria international.
However, it is Ivan Toney who Arsenal have been cautioned about signing by TalkSPORT pundit Murphy on Monday [8:16 pm] ahead of the deadline at the end of the month.
“Who can they get that’s going to make them score more goals than they did last season? Let’s look at it realistically. Let’s say it was Ivan Toney,” said the former Liverpool midfielder.
“You are going to spend what on wages? Hell of a lot, right, and he is going to cost you to bring him in, a fee, whatever, let’s say you have got to pay £50 million? Then they have to pay his wages, so you are looking at £70 million.
“So, all of a sudden, you are bringing him in, what, to not start every game? Why would you spend that much money on somebody you are not convinced is going to be your main man? I think if he didn’t start for six games and Arsenal won every one of them, he would be fuming.”
Ivan Toney could be an upgrade on Gabriel Jesus
Last season was a difficult one to judge Toney off considering he only began his campaign in January after being suspended for the entire first half of the season.
Looking back on his 2022/23 term, Toney was able to provide a return of 20 goals and four assists in the Premier League alone.
Considering Jesus also endured his own struggled last season, looking back at his 2022/23 campaign may offer a fairer comparison.
| 2022/23 | Ivan Toney | Gabriel Jesus |
| Goals | 20 | 11 |
| Assists | 4 | 6 |
| Shot-creating actions (per 90) | 2.01 | 3.62 |
| Aerial duels won | 48.2% | 36.1% |
But as Murphy alludes to, Toney showed during the Euros that he is not satisfied with sitting on the bench, so any move to Arsenal this summer is going to see the England international looking for regular action.
